Love chocolate? Then this walking tour is for you. Come celebrate “the food of the gods” (so named by the 18th century Swedish botanist Linneus) with culinary historian/chocolate expert Alexandra Leaf. From hot chocolate to cooling gelato, and with toothsome macaroons, cupcakes and Belgian-style confections on the day’s menu, together we will seek out the city’s finest hand-made treats. Begin the day with a Chocolate 101 class complete with cocoa beans from a plantation in Columbia and spend a sweet 2 1/2 hours exploring the world of fine chocolate.
