Jewels of Vermont
Friday May 23
$69 per person
Start
our day at Simon Pearce Glass at The Mill in Quechee, VT where
you can watch artisans creating hand blown glass and thrown
wheel pottery. From glistening goblets to enormous bowls, you
can shop for unique housewares and a selection of manufacturers
seconds. Beautiful glassware and pottery you won’t want to miss.
Lunch at the East Ender Restaurant, a charming local eatery
which exudes Vermont hospitality. After lunch we’ll visit
Sugarbush Farms, “at the end of a scenic Vermont road lie’s a
cheese lover’s paradise.” A working four-season farm where
you’ll get to sample four grades of pure Vermont maple syrup and
sample twelve varieties of cheese made on the farm. Take in the
fantastic views, spend some reflective time in the farm chapel
and visit with the farm animals including Belgian draft horses,
rabbits and goats. Before leaving make a stop in the farm house
gift shop where you can sample more of Vermont’s best jams,
mustards and maple spreads. |
